Anyone can have a TransDermal Nutrition Facial, but you will get better results if you have been on DMK homecare for 2 weeks prior to a treatment. Not only that, it also ensures your skin is ready for this treatment and is happy with the products.
After a 3 stage cleansing process, we apply a mask, followed by products that pass ‘trans dermally’ through the skin and penetrate the skin lower down to have an effect on the skin cells at an earlier stage in their life cycle. 2. Enzyme Therapy
The signature DMK treatment follows the same 3 stage cleansing process, a progressive exfoliation programme that uses multiple ways of lifting off dead skin cells over time, the unique Enzyme mask and transdermal finishing products. It is the mask and the differing exfoliation methods that mark this treatment out from the Transdermal Nutrition Facial.

3. Advanced Enzyme Therapy
DMK only allow selected therapists to train and offer their advanced treatments. These advanced treatments allow for more targeted treatments on a stubborn or specific skin condition e.g. the neck, or the eyes plus we have access to higher levels of formulation in the products used on the skin during these treatments – giving greater results and future proofing the skin.

4. StemZyme Therapy
This is the brand-new treatment which over a course of 5 treatments over 50 days, the skin is rejuvenated to perform as if it was younger by creating new stem cells that then go onto develop into specific skin cells. It is this second part of the process, developing new skin cells, that is unique to DMK and can be proven. The treatment is like the Enzyme therapy, but specialist products are used both during and after the treatment. Depending on age and condition, StemZyme might only be performed once in a year or two or more years.
How long do DMK facial results last?
Results are cumulative. The more you have, the more results you will see. If you keep up with the homecare, review with your skin practitioner, and maintain treatments then you are looking at a lifetime of healthy skin.

What Happens in the Skin Consultation?
It’s a 4-step process
1. We complete the skin review form together, examine history and current skin concerns, and analyse our current skin routine, determining what’s working and what’s not.
2. Use the Observ 520 machine to look at the underneath of your skin to help signpost us to underlying factors that need to be considered.
3. Perform a gentle cleanse and analyse the skin through a magnifying light. Apply a simple routine, including SPF, for your journey home.
4. Suggest and agree on any next steps.
Homecare Post Consultation and Treatment
Homecare after your DMK Facials in Richmond, is not an excuse to sell products; it is a continuation of any in-clinic skin treatment. Does DMK cause purging?
Skin purging is the result of a product or method accelerating the cell turnover of the skin, producing either small open or closed comedones typically showing up as whiteheads and skin outbreaks.
DMK treatments or products cannot create spots or breakouts, it will only bring to the surface congestion that already exists lower in the skin.

Can I wear makeup after a DMK facial?
Not immediately after StemZyme and we would recommend not applying make up after a facial treatment but to wait until the next day. Too often I see people using skin clogging make up brands which negatively affect the skin and undo all the good work your homecare and in clinic treatments are achieving.
What can I do at home to support my DMK facial results?
It is essential to kick start the skin’s health prior to a DMK treatment and for ongoing maintenance to use DMK home care prescriptives. The DMK core concept is Remove, Rebuild, Protect and Maintain. It is the job of the DMK therapist and treatment to do the first 2 steps, but it is you, at home in your everyday life, that carry out the 3 and 4th steps in the concept.

What are the side effects of a DMK facial?
Side effects usually mean something negative. There are no negative effects from a DMK Enzyme facial. You may experience some dryness, which means the skin needs to be exfoliated, usually 3 days after the treatment. This is a positive thing as the Enzyme has kickstarted the process of removing the build-up of dead skin which impedes skin function and health. You may get some breakouts, but DMK cannot create a spot, it simply draws to the surface the spots that are lying further down in the skin and aims to permanently remove the re-occurrence of breakouts and break the cycle so often experienced by acne sufferers. Also, the Enzyme treatment works on the lymphatic system, which will be cleared of ‘dirty’ lymph and bring fresh clean lymph to the vessels, so waste will be removed from the body.
The net result of these changes is a healthier skin that functions optimally instead of sluggish, poor functioning skin with its attendant symptoms.
